Upper Church

Our History

The First Presbyterian Church of Marysville was established in 1829 and is the oldest church in Union County. The present building is the third in the church's history, all occupying the corner of Fifth and Third streets in downtown Marysville. In 1993 a major renovation, including a three story addition, was completed. The building is completely accessible, including an elevator and accessible restrooms.

There have been twenty-two Pastors in the history of the First Presbyterian Church, including early missionaries who were not installed.

Here are some historical pictures of the church.

The First Presbyterian Church of Marysville is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. (PCUSA) and is a member church of the Scioto Valley Presbytery, in the Synod of the Covenant.
