The Prayer Chain The Prayer Chain of First Presbyterian Church is a group who acknowledge God's invitation to carry the problems, sorrows, and joys of neighbors to him in petitionary prayer. We live our lives within a culture which leans heavily on the philosophy of active accomplishment, so that even, as God's adopted children, we face the temptation to minimize the possibilities generated by prayers for the meeting of our needs and those of our world. We believe, sincerely, that the effectual, fervent prayer by God's people can be the means by which God acts. Members of the church are invited to make all requests for prayer to the church office, to Elesa Thompson, or to Virginia Phillips.
